Welcome to the Boston Steering Committee

Our big focus each year is on organizing a variety of community events and on planning the annual HRC N.E. Gala Dinner, with fantastic speakers and entertainment. Thank you to everyone that attended this year’s October 2007 gala. Whether it was the socializing with friends at the VIP Reception or the playful competitiveness of the Auction, or the satisfaction of honoring the legislators and politicians that continue to fight for equality, or the absolutely amazing performance by Jennifer Holliday that brought down the house, it was definitely a night remember.

The Boston Steering Committee of the Human Rights Campaign is a diverse volunteer group of individuals working each and every day to bring the mission of HRC to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender and straight-supportive people in this area.

By taking part in community events, prides, town hall meetings and partnerships with other organizations, these volunteers are working hard to support HRC’s efforts in the movement for equal rights for LGBT people. And this struggle for equality needs your help! The group is structured into several committees focusing on vital areas of the work HRC does. Fill out the Volunteer Form to learn more about how you can get involved. We hope to see you at one of our many upcoming local events!

Under the direction of local board leadership, the HRC Boston Steering Committee is responsible for the presence and local activities of HRC.
